Spectrum families, we are officially less than a month away from our 2026 All-School Demonstration (ASD)!
This year’s production theme is The Lorax, and we are excited to celebrate the hard work, growth, and artistry of our students on stage.
Please review the important information below regarding rehearsals, show day expectations, costumes, and volunteering.
Be sure to select the correct performance date when purchasing tickets.
Important dates
The following dates are essential for all participating students and families:
In-Studio Dress Rehearsal (Show A): Tuesday, June 9
In-Studio Dress Rehearsal (Show B): Wednesday, June 10
Franklin High School Tech Dress Rehearsal: Friday, June 12
ASD 2026 “The Lorax” Performance at Franklin High School: Saturday, June 13
Costumes + dress rehearsals
Students will take their costumes home following their assigned in-studio dress rehearsal on June 9 or June 10. Please ensure all costume pieces, shoes, tights, and required undergarments are packed and ready for show day.
Students should wear nude undergarments and tights underneath their costumes. Specific tights may vary depending on the class and dance assignment.
What to Bring on Show Day
Students should arrive prepared with everything they need for a successful and comfortable performance day. Please pack:
Water and healthy, mess-free snacks
Hair and makeup supplies
All costumes, shoes, tights, and undergarments
A warm layer for backstage
Quiet entertainment for longer waiting periods backstage

HAVE A STUDENT PERFORMING?
Information regarding which show each student performs in can be found in the ASD packets previously shared with families. Show assignments are also posted in the school lobby for reference.

All students must remain backstage throughout the performance. A select group of classes will be supervised and will sit in the audience to watch portions of the first act. They will be escorted backstage in time to perform their pieces. Students MUST remain with their classes and may not sit with family members.

Feeling nervous before performing is completely normal. Nerves are often a sign that you care deeply about what you are doing. Students are encouraged to trust the hard work they have already put into preparing for the performance.
Mistakes can happen during live performance, and that is okay. The most important thing is to keep dancing and continue confidently through the piece.

All performers are not required to wear stage makeup for the performance. However, it is a customary and helpful tool for facial recognition by the audience.
