Introduction to Choreography is a course designed to build creative and innovative skills in students wanting to explore the unique art of choreography. Students will participate in weekly classes, fulfill both in-class assignments as well as out-of-class assignments and culminate their studies in a solo project to be performed at an informal event at Spectrum Dance Studios in June of 2011. The course is designed for students who are committed to learning more about the craft and design of movement and who want to gain a deeper understanding of dance as a mode of artistic expression.

Eva Stone is the Artistic Director of The Stone Dance Collective, producer of Chop Shop: Bodies of Work, an annual contemporary dance festival and a faculty member for the Academy Program at Spectrum. She has been creating dance work for over 25 years and is dedicated to sharing her insights and experience to students of dance.
