I wish so much that I had been in town to see this concert. I love the concept and also think this video blog series is brilliant. I miss you guys and am happy to see you evolving and pushing boundaries. Come perform in Chicago! Much love, Xaviera Hodge (Vandermay)
I was too stunned, and too respectful, to clap much after the
performance on Saturday night. So please consider this loud and
prolonged applause for the entire show, and especially for
Interrupted Narratives/War. I'm still asking myself questions after
seeing this piece, and continue to see the dancers writing in the
sand. It's a provocative and evocative piece, powerfully conceived
and danced, and I'm so glad I finally got it together to go see a
Spectrum Dance performance.
These Video Blogs prepared me for the performance last night at The Moore, yet I was absolutely swept away by the magnificence and emotion of the dance. BRAVO
Hi Donald -- Thank you so much for sending me this link. I finally made a point to sit and watch for a while . I love the way your dancers move -- I'm not sure whether it's you or them -- probably both! And the "amputee" movements are chilling! I wish I could see/hear the whole piece this weekend when it premieres. Please let me know how it goes. Thanks, love, Mary
