Spectrum Dance Theater (SDT) is the largest professional contemporary dance company in Washington State. Its mission; To make dance accessible, without limitations, to the community.

Under Donald Byrd’s visionary artistic leadership since 2002, SDT has embarked on an exhilarating transformation that has attracted world-class dancers, produced some of the most engaging works in contemporary dance, and generated acclaim in both local and national press. In Seattle, the company is the resident dance company of the historic Moore Theatre and presents the Studio Series at SDT's Madrona Dance Studios. Recent touring activities include Dance Theater Workshop in New York (November 2005) and an invitation by the Spoleto Festival in Italy (July 2006).
