ABOUT SPECTRUM

In Seattle, the Company is the resident dance company of the historic Moore Theatre (and presents the Studio Series at Spectrum Dance Theater’s Madrona studios). These programs reflect Donald Byrd’s interests in the diverse cultural influences of contemporary American dance. Most recently, in November 2005, following an invitation by the distinguished Dance Theater Workshop, Spectrum Dance Theater presented eight performances of Donald Byrd's The Sleeping Beauty Notebook in New York City, which was received with much critical acclaim by the New York dance press.
